Oh I.D.E.A. store in Champaign, IL, how I adore you. This is a craft supply store who's mission is to raise money for the arts in the local schools. I cannot imagine a more worthy cause in this troubled and cash strapped world! Surely, it's a creative lifeline for the children in our community. Why am I telling you this? because this is where I found the vintage trim that became the beads you are seeing. Isn't it fabulous? Please note, the vintage trim beads are slightly more expensive than the regular fiber beads I make.
This is a set of 6 vintage textile beads in a white and blue cotton pattern. Areas of discoloration may be possible and add to the vintage effect. The 'free ends' of the beads have been frayed purposefully to give a consistent finished look to the set.
Each bead this set of large hole fiber beads is .75 inch (1.9 cm) long and .50 inch (1.3 cm) wide with a stable core .33 inch (7-8mm) in through the center of the bead. The beads in the photo are made from a skein of yarn and are a strong representation of the beads you will be buying. If you want to see the exact beads you are purchasing, contact me.
