A design born and made in the Motor City, this necklace is full of movement, alive with the clinking of metal bits, hand painted charms, and a key set around a handcrafted porcelain pendant. This necklace is representative of the DIY style jewelry that is made in my weekend booth at the Rust Belt Market in Ferndale, a suburb of Detroit. At the Rust Belt, my customers mix and match from a wide assortment of charms, found objects, and ceramic pendants to create their own custom stacked pendant necklaces. I encourage my customers to choose items that tell a story, and I think each necklace has its own special tale to tell.
This necklace comes on a recycled silk sari ribbon. The ribbon is approximately 36" and can be tied to be worn as a long or short necklace. I like wearing them shorter and tying a little bow at the back of the neck. The ribbon may have a few knots throughout the length, but these add to the bohemian charm
Thank you and enjoy!
