Custom and personalized orders

If I feel I can make something custom for you in a style, design and glaze that I have tested and perfected, I'm happy to consider custom and personalized orders. Please know that there is generally an added charge for this and it may take six weeks or more to complete.

Because all of my pottery is made one at a time, there will be variations in size, even when you purchase a set of two or more pieces. Generally these are maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch in difference and a couple ounces in volume at times.

I use a very durable stoneware or porcelain clay for my pottery, making it able to withstand continued, everyday use. Unless stated otherwise in the description, you can use my pottery in your oven, microwave and dishwasher.

Gift wrapping and packaging

It is very difficult to gift wrap your pottery since I need to make sure it has lots of bubblewrap and peanuts surrounding it so it arrives intact. However, I am very happy to tie a ribbon around the packing material and to include a hand written card with a message from you inside the box. Just leave me the wording in your Note to Seller at check out.

I created this on my pottery wheel in my Oregon studio, and added a textured design to the exterior using black clay on the white vase. It measures 6 inches high x 3.5 inches across. I used a clear glaze to allow the texture and clay body to show through, and due to the placement in the kiln, the vapor action of other pots migrated to 'kiss' this pot with some pinkish coloring. I signed the bottom rim.

NOTE: In the last photo of this vase, you can see that it is a wonderful shape for a soap or lotion dispenser. If you would like me to affix a pump mechanism to the top of this vase, you can us the drop down menu to add that option.
