Huckleberries are a native berry to Montana, similar to the blueberry, with a lovely, unique fragrance.
I make the body cream by hand using triple-filtered local Montana beeswax, coconut oil, shea butter, sweet almond oil, avocado oil, olive oil, vitamin E and just the right amount of our one-of-a-kind huckleberry fragrance. Yes, it really is a custom, one of a kind fragrance made especially for us and not available for sale anywhere else.
The beeswax, oils and shea butter are melted together at low temperatures with our huckleberry fragrance and then slowly blended to cool the mixture before I pour it by hand into tins.
Once in the tins, it cools to an off-white natural color (no colors are added) and it firms up. When you take some from the tin, it will slowly melt in your hands and into your skin as you apply it.
It arrives in a small round metal tin with a cute little bear on the label (see the photo).
The berries are a delicacy here for both people and bears, perhaps because huckleberries only grow in the wild (unlike blueberries). Because bears enjoy huckleberries as much as we do, I do NOT recommend wearing our body cream on the trail in areas where bears live.
