Pillow is constructed of burlap. This is a utility fabric and the flecks of color and open weave is characteristic of this fabric and is not considered a flaw.
This is an open weave fabric--it is filled with polyester fiberfill--occassionally the suffing may show through the holes--simply smooth it back down.
Spot cleaning is recommended.
