Rare diminutive Oil on Board Impressionistic Landscape painting by Ludwig Werner of Germany.

Signed lower right L Werner partially below frame, & dated on back 1932. **Some of his signature runs off board.

It was painted in Dyrehaven. Dyrehaven translates to "The Deer Garden" or "The Deer Park", which is a forest park North of Copenhagen noted for its mixture of huge, ancient oaks trees and large populations of red and fallow deer. Historically, a Royal hunting ground, and often the site for landscape painters, as well as the emerging expressionistic painters' inspiration in the early 20th Century.

This little painting measures 8" x 6" unframed and 11.75" x 9.75" framed. It does not have a hanging wire - only a little hook at the top.

Exceptional early antique ornate wood frame that has just a few tiny nicks here or there, and some vintage wear to corners, nothing alarming. The painting colors are very rich, and it lures you in to want to enter the woods to see what is there. When his works are discovered they sell for over $2000.
