Our Small Alpine Shrine is 23" high from roof peak to bottom of the shrine body. (THE POST SHOWN IS NOT PART OF THE SHRINE, POSTS ARE SOLD SEPARATELY) The roof front is relief carved with a vine symbolic of Jesus "I am the vine you are the branches". The shrine is made of Western Red Cedar and is fully doweled with over 50 Black Locust Dowels. No metal screws or nails are used in the construction. The shrine is constructed to be very durable in an outdoor environment for many years. Carved posts are available for separate purchase. The shrine comes ready to mount to a post or wall. The shrine is fully assembled and comes with mounting hardware. The crucifix is removable for cleaning. We have over 15 years experience in shrine construction and have studied the construction techniques historically used in Europe. We can customize shrines and prayer plates for an extra charge. The shrine pictured is fully representative of the shrine that will be sent to you the only difference is there would be the variation in wood color, texture, grain patterns, knots etc.. Please note we carve each shrine individually and often encounter heavy demand for our shrines. Sometime we can get it out to you quickly, but normally takes 6-8 weeks for us to get a shrine out to you, but it can take longer. We try to make special date requests for Christmas, birthdays and other special occasions but this is not always possible.
