PDF pattern instructions to make this beautiful yet simple to construct "Lily" case, padded, fully lined with zipper pocket closure, and wristlet for your 7" tablet Kindle, Nook or other eReader!
***This listing is for a SEWING PATTERN only, photos of finished items are examples only and are not included. THIS IS NOT A FINISHED BAG FOR SALE***
Super fast and simple construction. Great for gifts, boutique or sell your own creations on Etsy!
This cool square design gives extra space for multiple devices to fit, or put accessories (I put my countertop stand next to my iPad) inside the main pocket.
The design puts rings on both sides of the cover so you can attach the wristlet to either side, or attach a shoulder strap if desired.
The pattern for this set of instructions will fit your Kindle 2 or 3, Kindle Fire, Kindle Keyboard, Nook, Nook Color, Nook Tablet, Sony eReader, Kobo and many others. This pattern is oversized to accommodate a device with a cover or any device up to 5.5"w x 8.25"t x 1". Measure your covered device to see if it is the best fit with this pattern. With so many covers available it is impossible to anticipate every style and size of cover that might fit.
You can use this pattern to create a cover with zipped pockets on both sides, or a cover with just the single zipper and no side pocket. Instructions will give the simple modifications.
If you have never installed a zipper, no problem! The method used is extremely easy. If you can sew a straight line, you can make this cover. The inside is fully lined, all seams are enclosed in the finished case and it is fully padded to protect your device. The process is super simple with a professional finished result.
The square shape of this cover makes it great for quilt squares and balanced motifs. The wristlet has a cute bow that makes it a fashion statement on its own! Clip it to either side, remove it, or make a shoulder strap for your case, whatever suits your mood. Look inside for a bright pink lining...what will your surprize lining be? Making a gift and not sure which reader your friend has? This square shape will hold the majority of standard reader sizes currently available.

This detailed pattern will take you step-by-step through the construction of the cover. Every step is described and a full color photograph is provided to illustrate the step. No assuptions of skill are made (other than operating your sewing machine!) and each step is brief and logically stated in large print.
I have been sewing for interiors for over 20 years and have attended numerous classes, seminars and other instructional venues. I hope that sharing my experience with you in making beautiful items for your home will give you much pleasure and lessen frustration with trying to 'figure out' how to make an item without instructions or with limited instructions.
I also offer sewing tips and brief tutorials on my blog at www.gailadesigns.blogspot.com
