What better way to celebrate the coming of summer is by having one of my new pillows on a rocking chair, bench, couch or bed. The background of the pillow is flannel to give a soft texture feel to the pillow, there are 37 pieces of cotton applique on the pillow. When you close your eyes you can feel the depth of each applique. The finished size of the pillow is 15" x 20".

The colors used depict the sunny sky (background), the word Summer is for the clouds in the sky. The bright colors of the flowers are what I see in my own yard as I look out of my house. Each applique is hand done and then I accent each piece with black quilting thread.I use top of the line quilting fabric called Moda, the filler is another top of the line product, Airtex.
