A new addition to my "Captured Collection", this large oval pendant is one of a kind. It measures 1 inch x 3/4 inch in size and contains remnants of a moth wing that I have sealed behind clear resin and set in sterling silver. ***Please note: No creature was harmed in the creation of this lovely necklace in homage to the simple beauty of this Lepidoptera.***

The large oval pendant is attached to a lovely, sterling silver bail, large enough to accommodate a multitude of chains. This piece is sold with the sterling silver ball chain shown in the photos. You may choose from a 16, 18, or 20 inch length for you chain. If you do not need a chain, please let me know right away and I will refund you the difference.

This piece is part of my "Captured Collection", a collection of handmade sterling silver jewelry in which I seal found, organic materials in resin to "capture" them in time.

THE CAPTURED COLLECTION:

Inspired by the myriad of texture and color found in the natural world, I create modern, yet organic, metal jewelry. Bountiful similarities exist between the natural world and human relationships. All things organic are in a constant state of change. Each piece of jewelry contains a tiny treasure "captured" in time that has been sealed behind resin. Resin preserves the beauty of each insect wing, flower petal, autumn leaf, Spanish moss, or century-old lichen.

All of my work is handmade in my simple studio that is located on the sunny side of a 100-year-old farmhouse in the woods of Virginia.
