The stone is about 4mm red jasper from southwest Texas. the band is lightly hammered:) Great stacking ring too. I will make it in your size. Please do state your size in the buyer's checkout notes.

Red Jasper dates back as early as (20,000 B.C.) in France where it was found to be used for ornamental objects, to the Babylonians times (1000 B.C.) where it was used in seals which have been found in ancient ruins. The Harrappa culture of India also used this stone in their jewelry.

I was looking up properties and birthstone stuff for this stone so I could state that here.
It turns out there are LOTS of alternating opinions on this.
It is the ancient stone for February but in ancient times, was also associated with Sagittarius AND Scorpio.
It was discussed in the Bible as a power/protective stone for Christians.
Jasper was a favorite gem in ancient times and is referenced in Greek, Hebrew, Assyrian and Latin literature.
