Is your name Lilly May? If so, this pin could have been made for you.

This magnificent sword pin is especially desirable because the owner of this pin can give a gentle tug to the elaborate hilt of the very sharp sword to defend her honor. Then it simply stows neatly into it's wire wrapped scabbard. There is also the addition of a mother of pearl heart shaped dangle at the bottom.

This elegant little sweetheart pin was popular from the 1930s to the 1960s, a gift from one special person to another. They were popular at fairs and carnivals, so your sweetheart could have a craftsman write your name in gold before your eyes. This one likely cost a pretty penny.

Made of gold filled wire
2 1/2" X 1 3/4"
Circa 1930s
missing the chain holding the sword to the scabbard
In good vintage condition, I have not tried to clean it.
Elaborate C catch
