I first got interested in photography at about the age of 13. My brother had a Pentax SLR and I would, as younger brothers do, follow him with interest. I even got to use it occasionally. Back then we did our own tank developing of the slide film and would bore our friends and family with our slide shows projected on the back of a white kitchen door.
Although I was born in London, UK I was taught and grew up in New Zealand. This was a great place for me to photograph as the countryside is so beautiful and the beach was never far away. At 17, after I had returned to London, I took the plunge and started my photographic career.
I assisted a couple of photographers for a few years until I started to go freelance and have been a working photographer ever since. I am largely self-taught in both photography and digital retouching though my stint as a photographers assistant really taught me a lot about both techniques and business.
Here I intend to show off some of my personal stuff - the kind of images that I take mostly for fun! Most of the photographs here have been textured and manipulated to achieve the final look that I was after resulting in a unique piece of Fine Art.
