I am a Maltese woman in my late 20s. By day I am a healthcare professional and during my free time I enjoy being an artist and jeweller. I have always had a passion for creativity and for making things which are truly unique.
I made my first necklace when I was around 11 years old, out of a pair of earrings my mother had given me, and haven't stopped making jewellery since.
I first starting making jewellery for myself, and enjoyed all the compliments I received about the pieces I wore. This encouraged me to start making jewellery for my friends as gifts. I really enjoy watching the smiles on their faces when they see their little custom-made treasures!
After quite a bit of coaxing from my family and friends, I took the plunge and started offering my jewellery for sale here on Etsy. The idea of brightening up another lady's day, possibly on the other side of the world, with my jewellery is really mesmerizing!
The name of my shop - Panterina - means small panther in Italian. It comes for my fascination for cats. I have had cats around me all my life and enjoy observing their elegance and wittiness.
I take pride in experimenting with innovative designs and try to be on the cutting edge of jewellery fashion. I prefer natural materials and am always hunting for vintage pieces to incorporate into my creations.
