There is no greater feeling than knowing that the items which I create from my heart are being purchased in the same manner and given to loved ones as a profound expression of caring.
There are three circumstances that brought me into starting up SpiralsandSpice in 2009 and inspired me to continue creating beautiful jewelry pieces for people to love:
1) I discovered my love for the art of wire wrapping! I was captivated by the limitless ways to express imagination and creativity. I could design wonderful works of art for those whom I loved; works which held both obvious and hidden meaning that came directly from my heart.
2) As I began to offer my wire wrapping creations through Etsy and began communicating with customers, I found that most coming into my shop were purchasing for those they loved and even for themselves. The excitement is contagious when someone finds a special item that to them holds a deep and personal meaning.
3) Many of the materials that I use for my wire wrap creations are endeared to my heart because of a special circumstance in my life. I chose creating my mood rings because of a childhood memory. My parents, I and brothers loved to travel to the beach often because my grandparents lived there. One of my best memories is taking our walks on the beach with my mother and grandmother and then eventually finding ourselves continuing through the beachside town. We would wander through the beach shops, looking at all the sea shells and handmade beach items they had to offer! As I carefully viewed and absorbed it all, my eye was always captured by the array of beautifully created mood rings. Somehow, I would always talk my mother into purchasing one for me. As I grew into a teenager, I continued to purchase them with my own, earned money. Even today, I find that I can hardly ever pass up a beautiful mood ring. They are forever stuck in my heart and remind me of those wonderful childhood days!
