A BIT ABOUT ME:
My name is Joanne & I'm the person behind Vintage Rose Jewelry. I'm an English artist and I work from my studio on the Cornish coast by the sea. I have been happily making and selling my art and jewellery professionally for more than 20 years now, and I love it more than ever!
I studied Art & Design at college, and knew from a very early age that I wanted to be an artist & was destined to live some kind of creative life.

MY STORY:
I have always loved jewelry. I love buying it, I love wearing it, & I love making it!
Even to this day, when I go into a bead or jewelry shop I am wide-eyed with wonder and excitement! My love of jewelry was borne from my love of playing with colors, textures and shapes in a tactile, 3-Dimensional way. Making jewelry is a great compliment to my other love - painting - which is how I play with these same elements but in a 2-Dimensional way.

MY INSPIRATION:
I am totally inspired by the raw materials themselves - gemstones, glass and crystal, shells, stones and feathers.
Nature is a huge inspiration. I live by the sea and walk in nature everyday, soaking up the atmosphere - the colors & the light. My surroundings always seem to find their way into my creative expressions - whether via an idea, a color or a texture. This may already be obvious, but I also love flowers - with a passion. If I could be anything for a day I would choose to be a flower fairy and live in the petals of a big flower! And color, too, of course. Possibly my biggest inspiration - it really feeds my soul. The world would dull without it!

A FEW THOUGHTS:
Through my art and jewelry I hope to bring a little inspiration and joy to my customers. I hope that my creativity can, in some way, inspire a sense of freedom - of beauty and inspiration.
I make all my jewelry with the utmost care and attention to design and detail, always taking the time to ensure that I have made it to the best of my ability.
Through Vintage Rose Jewelry I hope to make everyday a little more special for my customers who wear my jewelry.
