Hi there! My name is Lesley and I'm the artist behind When Guinea Pigs Fly. Though I studied nerdy things in college, I couldn't smush myself into the corporate mold for too long before I ended up back at the drawing board (literally) and the piano keys to balance my left-brain and right-brain interests out.

* How When Guinea Pigs Fly Came to Be *

In 2005, I adopted my first guinea pig, Gus. I fell head over heels in love with him and never looked back. I had always drawn and painted, but had never felt so inspired by such an adorable, chubby little creature! Somehow, a skeptical trip to the animal shelter during college resulted in my finding my artistic muse in an herbivorous rodent shaped like an eggplant, and now, When Guinea Pigs Fly artwork is hanging near piggie cages, in offices, homes, and tucked in people's wallets around the world!

* What Else? *

When I'm not drawing and painting, you can find me writing musicals with my fantastic writing partner (who's currently touring as Peter Pan on a Disney cruise, what a life!), and chasing any dream that comes my way. I'm a bit of a Renaissance woman so chances are no matter what I'm doing, it's creative in some way.
