I think I was born an artist. It was hard not to be creative growing up in a small Victorian town, surrounded by rolling farmland, lakes and forests. I have loving parents who supported me and guided me onto my artistic path very early in life. I grew up in an idyllic community. You know the kind. An old street with big dapply shade trees. Every house was different and all the neighbors knew one another. No one locked their doors. There was trust and safety and goodness and beauty. A little naive? Well, maybe. But that childhood is where I get a lot of my inspiration.
After childhood, received a great education. After graduating from a three year Illustration program at Sheridan College, I got married and started a family. I try to fit as much art into my life as my current schedule as a Mom of two young boys allows. This includes lots of photography for references and painting late into the night. My artwork can be found in private collections internationally.
