I started "crafting" when my oldest son who is 17 now was only 18 months old. I got started by going to a church function where they taught how to make floral swags. I thought I could make some money at this because it felt natural to be creative, so I signed up for a local craft show. I did terrible but I learned a lot. I noticed that wood crafts were the "hot" selling items. I bought myself a saw and some paint books and taught myself how to cut and paint. For years I bought craft instruction books and changed the product to make it my own. Then one day I decided I could no longer depend on someone else's creativity. From that point on I made my own original designs. One thing led to another and my husband and I got the opportunity to make and sell my designs full time. I feel I am the luckiest woman ever! I get to work with my husband, work at home with my children, and live my passion.
