Over ten years ago, an Italian friend visiting Los Angeles gave me a piece of glass that looked like a piece of candy. I thought it was sooo beautiful! Years later, I finally made it to Murano Island in Venice, Italy, and saw the source of some of the most amazing glass in the world and fell in love!

A couple years ago, I was on an audition tour, hosting a dance audition in several cities including Seattle. In Seattle, I had three hours to kill and was trying to decide what I wanted to do for those three hours. In the process, I discovered a glass shop. I went inside and asked if there was any possibility that I could purchase and work with glass. The art student working that day was very accommodating, she told me that she would be firing up the kiln in three hours and that I was welcome to cut some glass and fire it up with her batch. I bought several pieces of glass , worked for three hours, gave her my address and some money for postage and left Seattle before the glass was ready to come out of the kiln. Two weeks later, I finally arrived home and there was a box with my eight pieces of glass!
