PHD created her first piece of jewelry in 2004, a few months before traveling to the United States. She started designing for herself and a few months later she was sharing her refined taste with people in Brazil and around the world.
She decided so, to expand her creativity into a line of special jewelry, all based on her tender, self-taught, unique style, creating her own brand – Paula Higa. Her work can be found in famous boutiques around Austin – Texas, like Jezebel, Flirts, Ana Brasil, Casa Israel store, Nashville -TN, and now in Vermont.
She developed a series of jewelry where the main component is Handmade Lace, becoming her signature feature. A mixture of colors, texture and high-quality raw materials are carefully selected: Swarovski Crystals, Glass Beads, and Semi-Precious Stones -combined with metal elements. Creating one-of-a-kind, handmade, and elegant pieces of jewelry.
Paula was born in Brazil and graduated as a Chemistry Engineer, but her passion is to create art. “I consider myself a creative person who loves visiting art galleries, art museums, libraries, cinemas - art research centers! These places bring me inspiration and refine my knowledge to create beautiful art.”
