About

Hi! Edythe Preet here and I’m excited about sharing with you some of the Retro Kitchen Curios and Cookbooks I've collected over the years.

When I was a little girl, I spent many an hour 'helping' my mom, my aunt Matilda and my Italian grandmother in the kitchen, and I wanted to be Betty Crocker when I grew up.

Instead, I became a Culinary Historian and spent 15 years traveling the world and writing about the history of food for the Los Angeles Times International Syndicate. (Google my name if you'd like to read some of my articles!)

Everywhere I went I kept my radar on for kitchen related items from the time when the hearth really was the heart of a home. Finally there came the day when I realized that not one more thing would fit in my closets and cupboards and studio that…

About

Finally there came the day when I realized that not one more thing would fit in my closets and cupboards and studio that were all chock-a-block full of treasures. It was time to pass them on to new admirers.

I have been selling vintage linens and kitchen tchotchkes for 10 years now, and I absolutely love it when these bits and pieces of the past remind people of happy times from their childhood, just as they do for me.

I look forward to hearing the same from you!

If there’s something in particular you’re yearning for, just convo me with the details and I’ll switch the radar on for you!

P.S. If while wandering through my inventory you spot something you like, don't hesitate to purchase as I sell locally via my retail operation and nationally via the net, and the item you're looking at may be gone the next time you visit.
