Darrah Dean Gooden was born in the Mississippi Delta to a farmer and an artist, and raised in the piney woods of East Texas. Her mom taught art lessons in their home basement during the summer months, and her first memorable watercolor painting was of a delicate fawn. Years passed and Darrah left home for university to study art in Waco, Texas and London, England. She currently resides in Dallas where she lives and works with her husband and two tiny children. Recent features of her work can be found in spots such as:
