I am an art historian. Just now I'm working on some basic school textbooks and on my dissertation. Meantime I'm knitting. I love yarn. ( Most of my time I spend idling, studying, knitting or boiling something in some dye. Or all those together. For continuous flow of crap from my life, check www.my-paperback-life.blogspot.com
General policies All my items are handmade, in most cases by me myself (sometimes a friend helps with dyeing). They thus show slight irregularities in colour, texture or overall looks which are not a fault but a direct consequence of hand work. Why are some of my items so expensive? First, the materials are not exactly cheap. I use the finest yarns with a strong preference to natural fibres. Sometimes the techniques are complicated and time-consuming and they took considerable amount of time and wasted material before I mastered them. All my designs are unique. Whenever you get a piece of clothing from me, be assured that it's the only one in the world (unless someone else copied it - I cannot prevent this:D).
Returns As a private seller in the European Union I do not have to accept returns, I however do because it's hard to buy clothes without trying them. There are however a few conditions: (1) The items have to be unused and undamaged. If you do not like the socks you knit from my yarn, then, sorry, no. If you leave makeup stains or sweat smell on the sweater, then, no again. I do not refund the postage unless there is some mistake on my part. Please note that the abovementioned characteristics of hand work are not faults and that every monitor displays colours differently so a shade of red different on what's on your screen is not a fault either. (2) Convo me beforehand so that we might settle the issues, should you have some and arrange matters.
I gladly accept comissions - I make most my items in moreless my size (European 42) and in the way I would like to wear them. Feel free to contact me, just note that I won't make you the same sweater as displayed in the shop, just two sizes smaller because I strictly adhere to originality. I will be however happy to go as far as 'pretty similar'.
