Bio

Early Bird Special is a one woman operation, specializing in hand embroidered items, and mothering my two daughters in our cozy home.

I love to hand embroider cute and unique items for babies, kids and homes, using non traditional designs. I'm also a proud licensed merchant of Sublime Stitching, so you will see lots of items featuring those designs.

I am also lucky and grateful to be Sublime Stitching's sample stitcher. Which basically means I lend a helping hand to the amazing team at Sublime Stitching by embroidering examples of the patterns to be seen online when ordering patterns.

My embroidery work has been published in Embroidered Effects by Jenny Hart, as well as Craftstylish 2008 "Gifts to Make" publication.

I have recently become very fond of cross stitching, and find it to be a nice change of pace from embroidery. Embroidery is my first love, but there's no reason why I can't branch out from time to time.
