I learned to sew when I was a teen. I struggled in 4-H but my Grandma had so much patience with me that I finally caught on. When I was married, I made all the curtains for our apartment and then all of my children's clothes when they were babies.

One day many years ago while visiting my brother in Memphis, we stopped at a yard sale where I discovered a large box of gorgeous upholstery fabric samples. I bought it knowing it had a lot of potential. I soon discovered those beautiful prints would make gorgeous wallets and unique dog coats. I displayed my coats at a few craft shows and my love for textiles grew. My business bloomed and soon I was selling my dog coats to a distributor.

Hundreds of coats later, I realized it was only a one season type of item out of the 4 seasons of the year we have here in Michigan. I realized that I needed to add more products to expand my business. That's when I decided to add dog dresses to my apparel line to ensure sales all year long. That went well and I took my business online in 2 shops as well as to Etsy to go global.

Most days you will find me happy and content designing or sewing at one of my 6 machines in my studio. Who knows, if it's made out of fabric or has ruffles, you just might see it in my shop next week.
