  • Sew with Indigo Blue Workshops

    Owner, Maker

I simply love to design and make! Started when I was small making dresses for my doll, and then knitting and crochet, resulting in a degree in Fashion design. I am now a tutor running a micro business in Cornwall UK whereby I deliver workshops

Welcome to Sew Indigo Blue
I love designing and making so a hobby developed in to a teaching job which has now lead on to tutor work writing and delivering classes and workshops. I love to help others discover talents that they never knew they had or have been sitting dormant waiting to be revealed. Or a light bulb moment which sounds corny but is actually true. I also like attending creative classes to learn new skills and 6 years ago a printing evening class was the highlight of my week. I am developing some digital patterns from resources that I have either used n my teaching or have developed to engage in learning by having a useful outcome, something to use and cherish by the maker or as a gift. I also like to bring my own ideas to life and because I can not keep everything I list them to find new forever homes. I feel it is time for me to return to my Etsy shop after an absence but now armed with experience from running my workshops. Enjoy having a look and see what catches your eye! xx

Additional policies and FAQs

CUSTOM ORDERS:
Update: From October 2020 I am not accepting custom orders due to other work committments.
Custom orders are very welcome, in fact it is one of the ways I first started. Send me an Etsy conversation and take it from there. There is no obligation to place the order at this stage.

If you wish to proceed with your custom order I will be you informed of the making process and check that you are happy with it. before starting we shall agree a price, deadline date and I shall put a private listing for you. once this order has been paid for I shall begin creating your order.

Once a custom order has been started a refund can not be given. Adding to that order needs to be agreed first to make sure i have enough time to meet the deadline. Contact me if this is the case.

PRODUCT AFTERCARE:
There will be a tag or printed information sheet on how best to care for your item. Some of my listings are for items which are intended to be used and I can not prevent wear and tear from happening to your item but I can give advice on how to prolong the life of your purchase.
Every effort will be made to give you the best advice in the shop listing before purchase. If you are unsure then please ask.

DIGITAL PRODUCTS.
Sorry but there are no refunds for digital products once payment has been made. However please contact me if you have any problems with your order so that I can rectify the issue.

PACKAGING:
As a teacher/tutor educating about the environment and the use of green packaging and materials has always been at the forefront of my classes. Therefore I make sure that I limit the use of plastic to where it might be needed to reduce loss of an item such as beads or to keep products in excellent condition whilst in stock such as a cellophane covers on cards. I use these sparingly and reusable resealable plastic bags can be used again or taken to recycling points. I use acid free tissue paper which can be recycled, brown parcel paper, paper envelopes and where appropriate clean bubble wrap which can be reused or recycled. (Check ASDA website for stretchy plastic recycling points in their stores). I also use new cardboard 'pip' boxes which could be reused, and where appropriate I re-use clean strong cardboard boxes. Everything inside of the delivery box wrapping your item will be new.
