I created this shop in 2006, selling handmade notecards, felt wallets, and embroidered magnets. Taking that first step in opening my shop was so scary—mostly because it felt a little strange to put myself out there like that. I'm such a perfectionist, and I just didn't know if I was "good enough" to sell the items I spent so much time creating. After I made my first sale, I did a bit of a happy dance, finally allowing myself to believe that I could really do this.

My favorite part of having this shop has been filling it with whatever I'm currently in the mood to create. I'm not sure I could ever limit myself to just one specific item, considering my interests change entirely too often. Jewelry, stationary, home decor, hair pins, gift packaging—there are simply too many things I enjoy making, so the items I offer in my shop often change with the season (or my mood!).

And now, almost seven years later, I still get a little rush whenever I make a sale and get to ship an item off to a customer. It is the best feeling, for sure.

As a little girl, I would have never thought I would be able to share my crafts with so many people all over the world. This shop has been my own little dream come true, and I'm thankful for all those who urged me to be brave, take the leap, and truly believe in myself and my creativity.
