Hi, I'm Billie Heisler and I started Heisler's Creative Stitchery, now Creative Stitches, because of my love of sewing and making cloth dolls.

I started selling my dolls locally and with the encouragement of family and friends I began selling patterns to various craft magazines. As the magazines began to shut down I moved on to printing my own patterns and selling online.

The business has evolved from selling handmade dolls and supplies for embroidery and tatting to selling PDF patterns. I still sell some handmade items but designing new patterns is the main part of my business. Now you will find patterns for crochet, tatting, embroidery, along with various fantasy inspired cloth doll and animal patterns.

The first patterns I wrote to be sold in my catalog and online were the mini clothespin dolls. I've updated and added to that line. In fact over the years I've updated most of my patterns because I wanted to have more drawings and photos in the step-by-step directions. Making it as easy as I can for those who buy my patterns is very important to me.

At the heart of Creative Stitches lies a mission to celebrate the time-honored tradition of crafting while fostering a sense of creativity and joy. My vision is to inspire individuals to have fun and discover the beauty in every stitch.

So whether it's the whimsy of a little fairy riding a frog, the intricacy of a tatted mini quilt on a card, or the beauty of an embroidered wall-hanging, I hope to continue to inspire the imaginations of all who seek to make creativity a part of their lives.
