I take my time creating paintings, over months, sometimes years, working on a piece when I feel called. Or working to a particular rhythm that is synced with my natural rhythms and cycles. I’ve named this process ‘Slow Painting’ and ‘Slow Art’.

My work carries the energy of the feminine - of cycles of birth, creation, life, death, fertility, menstruation, sensuality, sexuality, and beauty. They explore the divine essence and humanity of woman through our symbiotic relationship with nature, expressed with vibrant colour and symbol. Paintings often feature the Great Mother, our planet Earth with which I feel a deep respect, fascination reverence and love.

The Slowness of the creation means that my art is an evolving story. And this is a story, such is the story of all of our lives, that I can re-engage in and continue to tell over time.

Each piece has its own story that is expressed not only through its visual appearance, but also through its creation, the materials used, where and when it was created and my intention in creating it. It is infused with thought, feeling, intention and energy.

The sum of these parts, create a certain frequency in each piece of art; an energy that influences and leaves an energetic imprint within a space.

My paintings have been exhibited in Australia and Scotland, with some held in private collections.

I'm a former jewellery designer with a BA honours degree in 3 Dimensional Design. My jewellery designs have been exhibited and sold in galleries, shops and markets in Scotland, Australia and New Zealand and were featured in L'Oreal's Australian calendar in 2006. I don't actively make jewellery anymore or take commissions, but you may find some one-of-a-kind pieces pop up in my shop in special sales.

Each and every piece is unique and has a story, even more so because I don't produce new pieces! Many of my gems come from nature so the finished piece you will receive is entirely yours and rather special. See the shop policies section for jewellery care.
