Glazed Earth

I live in Kansas with my wonderful husband in a lovely little house. I began Glazed Earth in 2008 in the basement of our house. After 10 years in a West Bottoms studio in KCMO, I have since moved back to the home basement studio.
Art has been an interest of mine since I was a little girl, whether it be drawing at my desk to creating mud castles and sculptures in the mud puddles outside.
I began making clay objects around 1992. I love the feel of clay and the many ways of manipulating it. The objects I create are a lovely way for me to express myself and relieve a little stress and anxiety at the same time.
I have enjoyed getting my hands dirty with clay for many years.
Influences include a love of antiques, silent movies, creepy movies and reading historical fiction.
