Fine Handweaving & Weaving Supplies

Top shop for gifts.

Announcement    As a child, I joined my mother, grandmothers, aunts and other women in my life in their sewing and fiber-related craft projects. I am now older than either of my grandmothers were when they showed me how to make things the old-fashioned way. The process of taking a simple thread or strips of fabric or loopers and turning them into something else continues to fascinate me to this day. I love trying new patterns and techniques, most recently, I’ve been working on weaving Scottish Tartan plaids and painted Lace! Great Fun! Fascinating!

I enjoy designing and weaving handwoven accessories, rugs, handbags and teaching others how to do the same. I sell my handwoven items as well as weaving supplies including Potholder Looms and Loopers (also called Loops or Sock Rings) on-line and at area events.

I offer 2 different listings for the loops. One is for small orders of 4 bundles or less. These loops are very light weight, but bulky. 1 bundle of 36 loops is too thick to ship first class using the post office. Shipping fees for these smaller orders tend to be around $3.50- to $4.00. Orders of 5 or more bundles include free shipping in the US.

I live and weave and teach weaving in Eastern Tennessee. I teach classes in Rigid Hddle Weaving,
and The History of Loom Weaving (with a bit of potholder loom weaving tossed in) through these organizations. If you’re in the area and interested in signing up for a class or just want to talk about it. Go to thes 2 websites to check out the classes: The Oak Ridge Art Center at OakRidgeArtCenter.org and the Oak Ridge Institute for Continuing Learning (ORICL) at the Roane State campus in Oak Ridge, TN.

Please note our return policy. We do not accept returns. If you have not purchased these loops before, we recommend that you make one of the smaller orders first.

The best way to reach me is either to convo me on Etsy or send me an email at loopsandlooms [!at] gmail.com.
