Announcement    She is inspired by nature, different cultures, origins, recycling en runs her own Woolstudio Mother Earth with the flow.
Many pieces linger within her, sometimes for a long time, and awaken, touching the surface, at just the right time.
After defining colour pallets she collects all kinds of materials though the main ingrediënt will always be wool. Mostly the used wool is home-dyed. Added materials are fabrics, fibres, threads, lace, many different kinds of silk, linen, yak, coconut and many recycling materials, to felt on or with. When colours and materials are chosen the piece is ready to be created.

She likes to be guided by the path she follows, the things she encounters, the things that exist. the path will be followed intuitively and is never set in stone, it can be diverted.
When a piece is created this way, embroidery with home-dyed and recycled yarns, is her favourite step in the process.

Annemie Koenen's interests run deep and wide, as does her coursebook. As a teacher she strives to pass on the craft at a high quality level. It is important to her that anyone's creativity may awake and flow freely.
