Jen makes art....

I learned about Etsy in 2006 and of course it was love at first sight. Even though I had been an artist pretty much all of my life, it took a long time for me to find my voice. It wasn't until after my second child was born, that my love for children's art came into focus. I was taken with the limitless design possibilities, color combinations and the "fun" of children's designs. I feel like I was always meant to be doing exactly what I'm doing now.

I spend my days printing and filling orders, doing shop related maintenance, custom pieces and creating new things that I've been thinking about. Sometimes I sketch things out on paper with pencils or fine tip markers first and then scan and refine them on the computer. Occasionally I paint and do mixed media type artwork. But mainly I sketch and paint right into my computer programs in (Ai CS6) with my graphics tablet. I love creating, fine-tuning, adding layers, texture, and the color possibilities are endless! Oh and did I mention that I LOVE fonts?

I feel like I still have so many ideas rolling around that have yet to come to fruition, but I'm working on it! I love Etsy because it gives all artist this lovely platform to sell their work and be inspired by other artists while participating in the process! Thanks for visiting my shop and taking time to read this. :)
