Handmade From the Oregon Mountains

Hi! My name is Toni. I’m a folk artist - I have no art degree. I actually have a degree in business and anthropology, which comes in handy in, well, life!

I work with wool, using the ancient form of wet felting as well as the modern day invention of needle felting. I design and create fabrics, which often become table runners, purses or scarves. I also do sculptural work such as fish, mushrooms and birds.

Working with wool has been a part of my life a very long time. I had the privilege of spending summers in the Wallowa Mountains with my grandfather, my grandmother, a handful of horses, a bunch border collies, a pack-string of mules, and 500 sheep when I was young. This area is the ancestral home to Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce.
