Artisans of the Anvil is a shop that makes hand forged iron shelf brackets, pot racks, and housewares as well as large architectural work. Our work is hand-forged at the anvil using traditional blacksmith techniques.
We are a small shop located in the Pocono mountains of Pennsylvania. Based in a 100 year old industrial building in Stroudsburg, Artisans was established in February of 2000. Our shop now has three full time smiths who all have different styles and aesthetics, but we share the common vision of keeping the craft of blacksmithing alive.
We are craftsmen who use traditional blacksmithing techniques to make products that speak to the modern world. We love making home furnishings, architectural work, and sculpture.
Andrew-the owner and head smith- has 29 years of experience in art of blacksmithing. He has done custom ironwork from high-end clients like Hotel Plaza in NYC, Longwood gardens in PA through architects and contractors to small local jobs here in Stroudsburg.
He has travelled to Europe to gain more experience and artistic views from true masters of craft.

Andrew is the captain of the ship. Back in 2000, he opened the shop with a dream to bring beautiful ironwork to the masses. Nowadays, he has settled into the role of head smith and spends his time multitasking....designing, forging, entertaining.
