Welcome to Bayside Fabrics. After about 50 years of sewing, I've accumulated way too many fabrics, and need to destash. I'm overstocked on new yardage, too, and so you'll find some real bargains here, vintage treasures as well as some priced to clear my shelves.
Please note that with the exception of Kona Cottons, most fabrics are priced by the 1/2 yard. Whenever possible your fabric ships in one continuous piece unless otherwise requested.
I generally try to ship within 24 hours of receiving an order, weekends and holidays excepted.
Patterns ship free with fabric purchase AND shipping overages of US$2 or more are refunded at the time of shipment.

Frequently asked questions
When will my order ship?
- Please pay attention to the processing times stated in listings, as it does vary. I guarantee that your order will ship by the scheduled shipment date, via the method you chose.
- My mail leaves very early in the morning, and so while your order will generally ship within 24 hours of being placed, it may not actually ship until the day after you make the purchase.
- Shipping upgrades are available at checkout. If you live in the USA, First Class mail typical takes 3-5 days, while Priority Mail takes 2-3 days and Priority Mail Express takes 1-2 days.
Why is domestic shipping so expensive?
- I ship by US Mail and Etsy calculates the rate based on the estimated weight and size of your package. Unfortunately, Etsy doesn't understand that fabric is squishy and often overestimates the package size, resulting in an unnecessary upgrade from First Class Mail to Priority.
- If you're not in a hurry, let me know in the comments when you checkout and if I can downgrade your shipping from Priority Mail to First Class, saving you some $$, I'll happily do so. (Orders weighing over 16 ounces total must ship by Priority Mail.)
- In any event, shipping charges in excess of US$2 are refunded at the time of shipment. :)
Is there a restocking fee?
While I do accept returns of new, unopened items, cut yardage IS NOT accepted for return without prior permission. If shipping was included in the purchase price of the item, there will be a 15% restocking fee (85% of the purchase price will be refunded). When shipping is not included in the purchase price, the purchase price only will be refunded. Buyer will be responsible for return shipping unless the fault is mine.
Special Terms for Sales Events
In addition to my regular monthly sales, I often run special sales, including Popup Sales, Flash Sales and Monday Madness. To receive discounted prices offered during sales events, the purchase must have been made on the day(s) the sale is taking place.
