Though Jewelry making began as an "accidental love" while studying fashion Design & merchandising in San Francisco, California, it grew into a unique and compelling "passion" to give birth to Bella Abisinia Design. An accessory design brand focusing on handmade, classic and timeless pieces with a touch of eclectic design for Men and women.

Both jewelry & Accessories are a result of combining old Ethiopian technique of beadwork, Metal smithing & hand-weaving by infusing recycled materials and focusing on handmade craftsmanship with selected environmentally safe materials and techniques.

The idea behind our brand Bellabisinia is a philosophy as well as a concept store with a studio in Addis Ababa , Ethiopia and a seasonal pop-up shops in San Francisco, london and Asia.We offer different range of handmade goods that are crafted to perfection.

Bellabisinia Design, a hub for all things handmade. We produce what was imagined and visualized. We give birth to something magical, be it a beaded jewelry with a touch of vintage pendant or amulet, a handwoven scarf, blanket or homeware. Our collection of unique and diverse range of handmade pendants , crosses ,homeware and accessories are mainly sources from Ethiopia and some parts of Africa with carefully selected luxury goods reflecting the best of Ethiopia and the continent's artisanal craftsmanship.

>It is with great pleasure that I would like to say that I am thankful to have my mentor BONSE who is a 3rd generation weaver. He has been my mentor and the force behind the weaving machine by not only creating beautiful work but also by helping get a deeper knowledge about weaving.

>My cotton spinner and fringe twister Alemitu is the most humble and Great person who not only jumps in when I need extra help but she is also the real responsible person who hand twists each finished woven item carefully.

**** I can not go without thanking my lovely husband Goshu, who is involved with taking part in putting some ideas or coming up with color combination. He is also the one who tracks down each and every item and handles the accounts.

> since the birth of my Son Nathan in 2014, my inspiration and creation has become even more beautiful. He inspires me in Every-way.
