Known for her distinctive and cheerful designs, Betsy Olmsted is the maker/mom behind Betsy Olmsted collections. Founded in 2011 and based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the one-woman company specializes in printed textile housewares and accessories inspired by nature, including tea towels, banners, runners, pillows, scarves, and more.

The enchanting designs of Betsy Olmsted begin as hand-painted watercolor pieces (created by Betsy herself) that are digitally printed onto cotton or wool using colorfast dyes. Printed fabric is sewn in a family-run sewing shop located in Pennsylvania. Each piece is produced as sustainably as possible by sourcing, sewing, and printing using minimal waste technologies.

With a BS in fine arts from Skidmore College and a MS in textile design from Philadelphia University, Betsey was motivated to build her own line of home accessories after realizing that she wanted to have a hand in every aspect of the process—from designing to detailing, packaging, and sales. She has worked with companies like Anthropologie, Hallmark, The Land of Nod, and West Elm, as well as specialty boutiques, to bring cherished wares to customers all over the country.
