I started quilting out of necessity, when I couldn't find bedding for my son's crib that I liked. I went to the store, bought fabric and a sewing machine, and went home and made my first quilt; even though I had never sewn a day in my life. That was nearly 21 years ago and I have read and researched a lot in order to improve my techniques and capabilities. Quilting, and sewing in general, have blossomed into a passion for me. I love making any type of quilt, but I always feel extremely honored when someone entrusts their cherished t-shirts or loved ones clothing to me in order to make a memory quilt that will be passed down for generations to come. I do all of the piecing and quilting on my standard size Janome sewing machine, but always sew the binding on by hand. I feel this helps give each quilt a dose of extra love, along with a beautiful binding.

More recently I've embarked on the journey of garment making and thoroughly enjoy it! Often times, bias tape is needed for finishing garment necklines, among other areas. Hence this new expansion into offering bias tape. I noticed that few to no places offer bias tape by the yard and it seems more often than not, a yard is suitable for my needs, so surely others find this a conundrum as well.
