My honey Cory and I have always been artists. Long before we knew each other we each created our own works of art in our own unique styles. Over the years, without us even realizing it, our busy lives involving jobs, parenting and renovating several spaces took over and forced us to trade in our delicate artist paintbrushes, replacing them with the poor substitute of painting endless amounts of walls and trim.

After starting my DIY home decorating and renovation blog thriftyartsygirl.com in 2015 I realized how much I loved and missed being a maker. When I was a little girl I dreamed of one day being an artist, but sadly as I grew older, got a job and had adult responsibilities, I felt this dream was too far fetched and pushed it out of my mind. But the more I got into blogging and creating I realized that if I wanted it bad enough, if I tried hard enough, if I used my God given talents and just spread my wings and flew my dream could still come true. As I tip-toe slowly towards my dream, Etsy is one of the first steps since what better way to fulfill my dream than to sell my handcrafted, one of a kind goods on the best online marketplace for handmade items?

Together Cory and I have filled our home, and some of our family members homes, with our handmade, reclaimed decor. We both have a passion for breathing new life into old, forgotten "junk". We also love recycling, re-purposing and restoring items into unique one of a kind pieces. We love creating and making in general.
