Announcement    MORE PIECES COMING SOON! Each piece is handmade and unique. The listing you see is what we send. We also do custom orders and ceramic repairs in the Kintsugi style. For repair samples and more info, visit: brokenbowlproject.com. SHIPPING:

We typically get the artwork prepared and shipped the same or next day as the order is placed. USPS Priority mail is typically 2-5 days, depending how far from the Chicago area you are.

FedEx shipping to Canada has been on time, usually within 7 days. Shipments to Europe are running 2-3 weeks, depending on the country. Expedited shipping seems to be better. Some international shipping is not available at this time to Africa, many island countries, and parts of Asia. We will continue to monitor this and make every effort to keep delivery reasonably on time.

Each item is completely hand made by Brian Ohlsen from an initial ball of clay on the potter’s wheel. The Kintsugi artform of repairing the broken pieces is replicated in the traditional method as closely as possible, using powdered metals imported from Japan. Each unique piece is added to our inventory once its intensive creative journey is completed. Please read more about our process and artisan in the About section below.

Frequently asked questions

Pricing/Costs

Although Etsy has raised their fees for selling and shipping, we have not raised our prices for either. I do not include shipping costs in the price of my pieces, as you would be paying tax on a higher overall price. All pieces are artfully gift wrapped and double boxed. Packing materials are either recycled and/or biodegradable.

EU Customs Fee

Customs fees will vary from country to country.

Australian Tax

Australian Tax and Shipping

The Australian government recently passed a new law that will go into effect July 1, 2018 that impacts some orders shipped to Etsy customers in Australia. The new law requires Etsy to collect goods and services tax (GST) on certain goods sold to Australian buyers from overseas up to the value of $1,000 AUD. Etsy will collect tax on these orders shipped to Australia.

Because of the new law, beginning July 1, 2018, Etsy will collect a 10% GST on orders if each of the following applies:
-The seller, are located outside Australia
-The package is being shipped to a buyer in Australia
-The total value of the package is less than or equal to $1,000 AUD
