I am a self-taught jewellery maker; I first became interested in making my own jewellery after watching Sally Dudmesh, a family friend, making her own exquisite and beautiful designs at her home, the Ngong Dairy. This is where I first became aware that you could make your own unique designs, and from that moment on I fell in love with handmade jewellery.
I have now been making my own jewellery for the last 7 years and originally started creating jewellery for myself from broken and old jewellery and odd bits of material I collected. Each design I create is unique and distinct, using semi-precious gemstones, pearls, feathers, Tibetan silver, glass beads and wooden beads, amongst other materials. The majority of the materials I use to create each item is sourced locally around Bristol or things I have collected on beaches or nature walks.
