One fall long ago, I was without work and ordering what to do with my life. I stayed up many long nights pondering this question, turning the possibilities over in my head. I fell asleep and dreamt of the first hat style I ever created, which was a tiny asymmetrical top hat. The pattern, construction process and visions of the completed hat all came to me that night. I woke up the next morning and made my first batch of 13, which I put up online and immediately sold! I was so excited I made more and more, expanding into small fascinators and other accessories.
Once my interest in haberdashery was sparked I wanted to expand my repertoire. My pieces went from tiny to huge and back again. I have created everything form mohawks to sculptural foam pony headdresses to etherial vegan crowns. I love taking classes to learn new skills and expand the scope of what I can create, making it possible to envision the most exquisite things and actualize them!
Recently I have acquired a passion for Foam Fabrication, which is the process of taking flat sheets of foam and creating unique shapes out of them. I love it because the hats are super light weight and you can literally create anything you want~! I teach classes as well, which I announce on my Facebook business page:

I have an ongoing photo project called Deck Of Hats (DeckOfHats.Tumblr.com) which in which I create ever MORE outlandish creations and photograph them with my trusty makeup artist, Alexia Petre. We have been working on the project for 2 years and will be creating an entire deck of cards upon completion of all 54 cards- jokers included!!!
