I have loved nature since I was a child and always knew that I would be an artist when "I grew up". My love for nature and art started at the age of 7 with my first insect collection. I was and still am fascinated by the natural world.

I am formally trained as a Botanical Artist and graduated with a certificate from the NY Botanical Garden. I coordinated the Illustration Program and taught there for 10 years. During that time I wrote and created the entire certificate program for the Natural Science Illustration certification. I received a Silver Medal from The Royal Horticultural Society in London, England in 2010 for my Insect and Plant Series, "Symbiosis". This series shows the lifecycle of both the insect and the plant that it depends on for survival. This body of work was also on exhibit at the Florida Museum of Natural History in 2011.

In 1998 I began my travels to Costa Rica, the Galapagos Islands and destinations in Europe. I started organizing tours for other artists and photographers and one of my students named the tour "Bugs, Beasts & Botanicals". The name has stuck with me ever since.

In 2010 my family and I moved to Florida so that I could pursue my career as an artist full-time. I create high end, scientifically accurate paintings that are not always affordable for the average consumer. If I didn't paint them, I wouldn't be able to afford them either! I decided to create a market for smaller, more affordable art so that people who admire my work could purchase it without selling their soul to the credit card companies! Some of my buyers have even become avid collectors! I hope that you enjoy my work as much as I do making it!
