Butterfly Enchantress Designs was my serendipity. Before Butterfly, my days were filled with research in quantum physics. I started creating bridal accessories because of an unfortunate car accident that left me with many injuries. I lost my ability to control my hands and the strength necessary to move them. My hand therapist recommended exercising hand control by doing things with precision, so I started a hobby of making hair ornaments and jewelry as a part of my home physical therapy routine to help my recovery.

This brought me to a crossroads – sure, I had learned a lot about Schrödinger’s cat, but was I really alive? Was working in a lab just a box I built for myself? After the accident, I realized just how important my family is to me, how lucky I am to be alive, and how I need to live my dream despite the challenges life throws at me.

I jumped out of my box to be alive. Butterfly Enchantress Designs is my ongoing journey to discover life outside of the box. I believe that it is the journey that really counts. Everything I create comes from a part of my journey – a flower I have seen or, better yet, a flower that I imagine I have seen. Influenced by living near sandy beaches, rainy forests, and scorching deserts, I hope to bring you to a destination you love with every headpiece.

I am thankful for every customer because each piece I create is a part of my continuing journey toward healing.
