Welcome to my shop and thank you for your interest in my art! Dear buyers, I wish you an easy choice!
Although the conditions for sellers on Etsy have become very difficult, I am reserved and want to see if the shop will hold up in the coming months.
My name is Angela and I've been painting icons for over 25 years, and I've had this shop, on Etsy, over 14 years.
I can paint any icon, from any era or country.
The icons on wood are in the Byzantine tradition, in the ancient technique called tempera, pigments with egg yolk emulsion. It is a technique that gives resistance and freshness of colors for decades.
I am one of the icon artists who can also paint popular icons on the back of the flat glass, using the same technique. These icons are specific to the area called Transylvania/Romania country and are particularly appreciated by connoisseurs. I am known for the ones I paint with a lot of soul.
I also love the medieval miniature.
Depending on your need, you can order what icon you want, even a model that is not in the store.
