After moving to New York City in 2004, Carolyn Burnes began working in fashion media at Condé Nast collaborating with titles such as VOGUE, Glamour and Lucky. Soon thereafter, Carolyn pursued a degree in fashion design from Parsons The New School For Design. During her studies she interned for W magazine as well as Ralph Lauren where she was able to expand her fashion experiences.
Carolyn continued to further her career by working as a designer of children’s wear at Ralph Lauren. Her passion for jewelry was cultivated during her spare time when she designed small RTW and accessory collections of which she sold to friends as well as online. Carolyn Burnes’ styles incorporates playful, edgy sophistication while using vintage crystals and rhinestones paired with modern gems and stones.
