Video summary: Example is a pair of unlined 50W curtains hung with clip rings (not included) which makes opening and closing so easy. The curtains come standard with rod pockets shown at the end of this 15 second video. Notice the tension rod used behind the curtains along with inexpensive sheers instead of lining the curtains. Window shown measures 35W. A pair of 50W created a nice full gathered look. We offer custom sizes up to 50W and 108L.

Frequently asked questions

Custom Sizes

I have many curtain sizes listed but if you find you need a different size, I can accommodate requests up to 50W and 108L. Width will be 50 inches. If you want a custom width of 50W or less simply put that request in the comments box when ordering. If you need a custom length not listed, message me for a prompt reply or you may order the next size up. For example, if you need a custom 31L add the 32L to your cart and note the custom length in the comments box when ordering. Round any fractions to nearest acceptable inch. Due to the handmade nature and stretchability of fabrics a tolerance of about an inch should be expected on the final product.

Cancellations, Exchanges, Returns, Alterations:

When I receive your paid order, I purchase your fabric preference. The fabric is non-returnable, therefore, I do not offer cancellations, exchanges or returns. Each curtain is custom made to order by me for you. After ordering you will receive an order confirmation email. Please double check that to make sure the shipping information is accurate and the order details are correct as I do not offer alterations.

Drapery Fabrics:

The quality cotton drapery fabrics I get are printed here in the USA. Fabrics can look different over a computer monitor. There are various fabric weights, colors and textures or the pattern could be larger or smaller than you expected. Before purchasing made to order curtains, you may order a fabric sample by clicking on the "fabric sample" link found in the item details of each listing. If you want more than 1 fabric sample message me with the fabric names and colors as typed in the description for a reserved listing.

Rod Pockets or use Clip Rings:

Curtains will have rod pockets but you can use clip rings instead if preferred. Not included. Clip rings keep curtains from sliding closed on the rod. Use clip rings as shown in some examples instead of putting the curtain rod through the pocket hem. Clip rings add about 2 to 2.5 inches or so to the length depending on the ones you get. The curtains open and close so easily when using them. I typically use 7 clip rings to hang each 50W panel.

Heavyweight Premium Blackout Lining (optional add on)

Blackout lining is made from polyester and heavier than cotton lining. Made to block light from filtering through the curtain safeguarding curtains along with rugs, furniture items, etc. in the room from fading. If you put a flashlight on one side of the blackout curtain you will not see the light on the other side. If the curtain pole is hung too low or not wide enough then light will enter the room around the edges of the window. Blackout minimizes noise and provides insulation against heat in the summer and cold in the winter. You can add premium blackout which is white by selecting it in the dropdown menu of each listing. The curtain fabric and lining will be sewn together.

Standard Cotton Lining (optional add on)

Cotton lining is light-weight and allows light to filter in. Improves draping by adding a bit of weight. Another option if you do not want to add on lining is get a tension rod and inexpensive sheers to go behind your curtains. You can add standard white cotton by selecting it in the dropdown menu of each listing. The curtain fabric and lining will be sewn together.

Properly Measure for Curtains

To ensure panels look ample when drapery is closed, they should have a combined width that is 1.5 to 2.5 times the width of the window. That is the industry standard. Our windows are 35W. We have a pair of 50W in each 35W window.

For the length, measure from the curtain rod or clip rings (not included) to where you want the curtains to drape. Some like them to puddle on the floor (not recommended with children or pets) and some prefer them to the window sill or to go past the sill by a couple of inches. Entirely your preference.

If you need a custom size see "Custom Sizes" here in FAQs.

Lead Time, Local Pick-Ups, Tracking, Prices/Sales

When I receive your paid order, I purchase your fabric preference. Every curtain is handmade to order by me in a smoke free environment. I do not offer local pick ups or rush services. The estimated delivery and shipping date is provided on the order screen before ordering and on the order receipt that will be emailed to you after the order is placed. The dates provided are estimates and not guarantees. If you have questions, ask before ordering and not on the order notes. Larger orders and orders with multiple items can take longer. A tracking number will be provided on your order screen. Once your package has been marked as shipped it can take a few business days for tracking to begin. Prices/Sales cannot be applied retroactively.

Train your Curtains

When you hang your curtains allow the natural folds to form. Take each fold of fabric and gently press between your hands all the way down to the bottom of the curtain. If you can, leave them in that position and over time you will train your curtains to hang in beautiful folds.

Fabric Manufacturer Care Instructions

All fabrics have a cleaning code of SW. This means they should be cleaned using a sponge and mild detergent then air dry. Washing machines and dryers are too abrasive for printed fabric.
Customers have successfully used these machines in the past with cold water, gentle cycle, and line dry; however, shrinkage will occur, results may vary, buyer accepts risk.

Blackout lined and cotton lined curtains should never be machine washed or dried.

There will be creases from being folded while in transit. You can iron the curtain fabric side on the cotton setting WITH steam.
