My love for books started….in the womb?? As long as I can remember, I have been binding books;) I have certainly progressed from the yarn and staple-bound pages that I made at age 4! I love to learn and play around with traditional as well as more modern binding techniques.

I'm not sure which I love more, however…binding or the hunt! My mother and sister join me all summer long as I hunt out "new" treasures of cherished vintage books. I repurpose these as wonderful journals to add some nostalgia to people's lives. I just can't bear to see these beauties destroyed!!

I've used this opportunity to up-cycle many objects as mixed media collages on the covers of many of my hand bound books. With my combined love for books, writing, creating and recycling, I've come up with a fulfilling way to spend my free moments.

Most of my journals have been sold at local markets and art fairs. Supplying these venues has kept me very busy! I am ready again to bring my journals to Etsy-although each time one leaves here it takes a piece of me with it. I love books!
